USEFUL INFORMATION
Meet family and friends in any of the following areas
- A.J Bert Lillye Lounge booking essential (located on ground level at northern side of mounting yard)
- Ken Brown Dining Room booking essential (located at top floor of grandstand (northern end))
- Bistro Lounge (located at top floor of grandstand (southern end)
- Lawn Marquee (located at the southern end of the grandstand)
- Public Lawn (located at the southern end of grandstand)
- Alcohol Free Zone (designated area located on the public lawn)
- Bert Lillye Lounge Lawn (located at northern end of grandstand)
- Betting Ring (incl. Snack Bar and Can Bar) )located on the ground floor behind the grandstand)
- Public Bar (located on the southern end of the bottom floor of the grandstand)
PRIVATE TRANSPORT
Kembla Grange Racecourse has public parking available in the inner course. Staff members will be pro-active in seeking to discourage drinking and driving. The Club offers a number of services designed to alleviate the need for drink driving. These services include;
COURTESY BUS
Kembla Grange Racecourse now provides a FREE COURTESY BUS to get you home from the races – travelling to Dapto Train Station, Unanderra Train Station & Wollongong Train Station.
The bus departs from the main car park immediately after the 2nd LAST and LAST races.
Please note this Service will only be available on our Saturday race meetings or feature race days i.e Classic Day and Melbourne Cup Day.
TRAINS
Kembla Grange has a train station located directly across the road from the Racecourse. There are traffic lights and a crossing so patrons can safety make their way to and from the train station.

ON COURSE TAXI RANK
A taxi rank is located directly in front of the turnstiles for customer convenience
A series of Food & Beverage options are available on course every race day. Food items such as hotdogs, pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, rolls, chips, icecreams, hamburgers, schnitzel rolls, etc will be available for purchase at our snack bars and BBQ hut and meals can also be purchased and consumed in the Bistro.
Patrons wishing to use our lawn areas for picnics are more than welcome to bring their own picnic food, no drinks are to be brought onto the race course. Picnic baskets, eskys, etc will be inspected by security staff prior to you being permitted to enter the turnstiles.
- ALCOHOL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- Any alcohol brought onto the course will be confiscated at the turnstiles and will NOT be returned.
- Food & drinks may not be taken into any function rooms, bars, etc and can only be consumed on the Public Lawn areas.

Dress Regulations for Kembla Grange Racecourse are as follows:
GENERAL AREAS
‘Neat & Casual’ – closed in shoes required in all enclosed areas. Strictly NO thongs permitted in enclosed areas.
MEMBERS BAR, MEMBERS DINING ROOM & A.J BERT LILLYE LOUNGE
* SMART-CASUAL wear must be worn by Gentlemen.
* NO suit or tie are required.
* JEANS are permitted as long as they are clean & tidy.
* DRESS SHORTS are permitted
* CLOSED-IN SHOES are required for Gentlemen (closed-in sandals & boat shoes are allowed, although shoes & socks are preferred).
Members & Guests are expected to be dressed appropriately at ALL times.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times but are welcome with their families in the following areas

Kembla Grange Racecourse is committed to the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Kembla Grange Racecourse:

- recognises that it is against the law to allow disruptive or violent behavior to occur on these premises.
- is an active member of the Illawarra Liquor Accord and is committed to abiding by its polices and procedures.
- acknowledges the right of every individual to an enjoyable social day out, without impacting on others to do the same.
Refusal of Service
It is against the law to serve an intoxicated person, which has serious consequences for the staff member and the Club. Whilst an individual’s patronage is greatly valued, intoxicated persons will be requested to leave the premises. Failure to leave as requested will result in Police action and a possible fine.
Drinking and Driving
Staff members will be pro-active in seeking to discourage drinking and driving. The Club offers a number of services designed to alleviate the need for drink driving. These services include the provision of a FREE courtesy bus (which travels to Dapto, Unanderra and Wollongong Train Stations, throughout the day) and the making of alternative transport arrangements (ie: assistance with train timetables and taxi pickups).

INDIVIDUAL OWNERS
When you race at Kembla Grange, whether you win or lose, REGISTERED OWNERS (meaning owners listed in the racebook) receive the following privileges for themselves and a guest
– ENTRY TO COURSE
– RACEBOOK
– DRINK VOUCHER
– ENCLOSURE TICKET
for access to:
* saddling enclosure
* owners bar
* members bar
* members outdoor grandstand
Please present to the owners booth, located at the main turnstiles, on arrival to collect your owners tickets.
Owners are invited to the Owners Room to view a replay of their race. Winning Owners will also be presented with a free video of their victory by one of the Club’s Directors.
SYNDICATES
If a syndicate has FULL ownership, each syndicate member may receive the following:
Entry ticket, racebook, drink voucher, enclosure ticket and members guest ticket
If a syndicate has a PART share in ownership, guests of syndicate members will be required to purchase entry and members passes.

Syndicate Members: if you are a member of a syndicate, please contact your syndicate MANAGER to find out details of what you are entitled to and where to pick your tickets up from.
TRANSFER OF TICKETS
If you cannot attend the race meeting and wish to transfer your ticket into someone else’s name, please contact the racing office racing@illawarraturf.com.au to transfer your ticket.
