USEFUL INFORMATION

- Betting Ring (incl. Snack Bar and Can Bar) )located on the ground floor behind the grandstand)
- Public Bar (located on the southern end of the bottom floor of the grandstand)
TRANSPORT
Trains & Buses
Plan your trip on public transport via the link below. Trains stop at Kembla Grange Racecourse Station on Saturdays and regular bus services operate at all other times.
Taxis, Uber, & Drop-offs
There is a dedicated drop off and pick up area at the front of the racecourse on the Princes Highway. Traffic management staff will be on site to direct vehicles to the appropriate location.
Parking
Ample free parking is available at the racecourse. Enter the carpark via the Princes Highway. If the main carpark reaches capacity, traffic will be directed to the infield to park.
Disabled Parking
Limited accessible parking is available outside the administration building for people with an NSW Government-issued permit.
Getting Home
FREE shuttle buses to Wollongong, Unanderra, and Dapto Stations will begin running after the second last race at every Saturday meeting. This service is not provided on weekdays.
A series of Food & Beverage options are available on course every race day. Food items such as hotdogs, pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, rolls, chips, icecreams, hamburgers, schnitzel rolls, etc will be available for purchase at our snack bars and BBQ hut and meals can also be purchased and consumed in the Bistro.
Patrons wishing to use our lawn areas for picnics are more than welcome to bring their own picnic food, no drinks are to be brought onto the race course. Picnic baskets, eskys, etc will be inspected by security staff prior to you being permitted to enter the turnstiles.
- ALCOHOL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- Any alcohol brought onto the course will be confiscated at the turnstiles and will NOT be returned.
- Food & drinks may not be taken into any function rooms, bars, etc and can only be consumed on the Public Lawn areas.

Dress Regulations for Kembla Grange Racecourse are as follows:
GENERAL AREAS
‘Neat & Casual’ – closed in shoes required in all enclosed areas. Strictly NO thongs permitted in enclosed areas.
MEMBERS BAR, MEMBERS DINING ROOM & A.J BERT LILLYE LOUNGE
* SMART-CASUAL wear must be worn by Gentlemen.
* NO suit or tie are required.
* JEANS are permitted as long as they are clean & tidy.
* DRESS SHORTS are permitted
* CLOSED-IN SHOES are required for Gentlemen (closed-in sandals & boat shoes are allowed, although shoes & socks are preferred).
Members & Guests are expected to be dressed appropriately at ALL times.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times but are welcome with their families in the following areas

Kembla Grange Racecourse is committed to the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Kembla Grange Racecourse:

- acknowledges the right of every individual to an enjoyable social day out, without impacting on others to do the same.
Refusal of Service
It is against the law to serve an intoxicated person, which has serious consequences for the staff member and the Club. Whilst an individual’s patronage is greatly valued, intoxicated persons will be requested to leave the premises. Failure to leave as requested will result in Police action and a possible fine.
Drinking and Driving
Staff members will be pro-active in seeking to discourage drinking and driving. The Club offers a number of services designed to alleviate the need for drink driving. These services include the provision of a FREE courtesy bus (which travels to Dapto, Unanderra and Wollongong Train Stations, throughout the day) and the making of alternative transport arrangements (ie: assistance with train timetables and taxi pickups).

Individual Owners
As a valued owner you will enjoy exclusive privileges to enhance your race day experience. Each owner whose name is listed in racebook receives the following for themselves and one guest:
Complimentary racecourse entry
All day access to the Members’ Bar
Access to the mounting yard for your horse’s race
A racebook
A drink voucher to be used in the Owners’ Room after your horse’s race
On Saturdays, owners can pick up their pass, racebook, and drink voucher from the owners’ booth attached to the administration building. For midweek meetings, please collect them from inside the office.
If you cannot attend the race meeting and wish to transfer your owner’s privileges to someone else, please email racing@illawarraturf.com.au or call (02) 4261 7211 at least 24 hours in advance.
Syndicates
If you are listed in the racebook as a syndicate rather than individual owners, syndicate managers will need to reply with the name of the horse, and the race number with a list of syndicate members prior to the race meeting to racing@illawarraturf.com.au
